Abstract
Background and Objective: The family is the most fundamental social institution, and awareness of religious rights and duties can help strengthen it. The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of training on the mutual rights of spouses from the perspective of Islam on marital intimacy and happiness of married people.

Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. Among the married people working at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 2023, 120 married employees were voluntarily selected and randomly assigned to two experimental groups (60 people) and control (60 people). The experimental group participated in 10 90-minute sessions of training on the mutual rights of spouses from the perspective of Islam (compiled by Seyyed Ali Ayat). Data were collected using the Oxford OHI (1990) and Beheshtian Marital Intimacy (2011) questionnaires and analyzed with paired t-test and repeated measures analysis of variance using SPSS26 statistical software.

Findings: The results showed that spouses' rights education significantly increased marital intimacy and happiness scores in the experimental group (p<0/001). While no significant change was observed in the control group.

Conclusion: Mutual spouses' rights education based on an Islamic perspective can be used as an effective intervention in improving the quality of marital relationships and increasing the happiness of married people. Integrating this education into family counseling programs and premarital courses is recommended.
