Abstract
Objective:

Since the revelation of the Holy Qur’an as a lasting miracle, certain groups have consistently resisted its acceptance. This study aims to analyze the internal roots of such reactions, particularly in terms of cognitive and cardiac disorders among those who deny revelation, with emphasis on the Tafsir al-Tasnīm by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.

Materials and Methods:

This research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical approach and qualitative methodology, applying thematic content analysis. Data were drawn from Qur’anic verses and Tafsir al-Tasnīm, interpreted through interdisciplinary perspectives, particularly from cognitive science and psychology.

Findings:

The results indicate that the Qur’an does not consider denial of revelation as merely an intellectual issue, but as a consequence of dysfunction in the human perceptual and cardiac systems. These disorders manifest in traits such as arrogance, negligence, materialism, blind imitation, and egotism.

Conclusion:

Reinterpreting these Qur’anic concepts in light of psychological and cognitive science frameworks can offer novel insights into spiritual-psychological disorders and their impact on mental health and faith-based lifestyles. This study serves as a step toward fostering constructive interaction between Qur’anic teachings and health-oriented approaches.
