Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this research was the effectiveness of Islamic education and spiritual skills on the psychological well-being of Iranian adolescents.
Materials and methods: The present research is in terms of purpose, application, in terms of the amount of supervision and control, it is a field research type, and in terms of data collection, it is a descriptive research type. The statistical population in this research includes all teenagers in Tehran. by multi-stage cluster sampling method; Among the different areas and districts of Tehran, district two and 337 people (157 boys, 180 girls) were selected as a sample. The data collection tools were the Islamic education questionnaire of Maktobian et al. Polotzin and Ellison's spiritual health questionnaire, and Rief's psychological well-being questionnaire. The method of data analysis was done by using frequency, variance, and standard deviation tables, and independent t-test was used in the inferential part.
Conclusion: Finally, it has been concluded that the spiritual skills of teenagers have an effect on their psychological well-being, but the Islamic education of the Iranian family has no effect on the independence of teenagers. On the other hand, the Islamic upbringing of the Iranian family influences the mastery of the environment, personal growth, communication with others, purposefulness in life and self-acceptance in teenagers.
