Abstract
Purpose: Visualization the scientific productions in the field of Islamic architecture.

Method: This applied research falls under the category of scientometrics. The research population includes all scientific outputs related to Islamic architecture in the Web of Science database from its inception until January 6, 2023. Computational software such as Histcite, Excel, and VOSviewer are used for data analysis and visualization.

Findings: From 1971 to 2023, a total of 865 documents have been published in the field of Islamic architecture. Gordon Cullen (9 documents), Ali Sadeghi Habibabadi (7 documents), and Grabar Oleg and Hakim Besim (5 documents each) have the highest number of publications. However, the highest number of citations belongs to Peter J. Loup and Paul J. Steinhardt (141 citations), while the highest link strength is attributed to Shabih Nadim Shibil (15 link strength).

The article "Decagonal and Quasicrystalline Tiling in Medieval Islamic Architecture" with 137 citations is considered the most cited article in this field in the Web of Science. The United States is the leading country in terms of the number of documents, citations, and link strength. The Islamic Azad University, King Saud University, and the University of Tehran have produced the highest number of documents.

Conclusion: When the scientific production of Islamic architecture expands in practice and foundations, the scale of using this type of architecture will increase, and the results are not specific to one country or several countries, but can be implemented in a wide geographical area and improve international health. Furthermore, the scientific productions in Islamic architecture are increasing.
