A Model of Ethical Capital of Principals of Non-Governmental Primary Schools in Tehran

Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this grounded theory study was to present a model of ethical capital of non-governmental primary school principals in Tehran.
Materials and Methods: The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 15 educational experts, principals and teachers of special non-governmental primary schools in Tehran who were purposefully selected and using open, axial, and selective coding and MAXQDA software were analyzed.
Findings: main finding of the study was a model of principals'  ethical capital in the form of a paradigm model. The core category of the model is ethics as the strategic capital of managers. Other components of the model consists of: moral education in the family, and ethics and spirituality in the society as the causal conditions, principals' personality traits, attitudes, beliefs and individual talents as  the contextual conditions,  political, economic, social, individual and organizational issues as intervening factors, individual and organizational strategies as the strategies, and individual development, organizational development and social development  as the consequences.
Conclusion: The developed model can be used as a basis for creating ethical capital in schools.
