The impact of lifestyle on public health and emotional intelligence of elementary and middle school students in Saveh

Abstract
Aim: The Aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of lifestyle on general health and emotional intelligence. The research method is descriptive-correlational.
Instruments & Method: The statistical population of the present study was all male and female primary and secondary school students in Saveh in the 2015 academic year. According to the education statistics of Saveh city in 2015, 8759 students were in primary and secondary schools. In this study, stratified random sampling method was used and according to the statistical population of this study, 368 samples (207 elementary school students and 161 middle school students) were selected based on Cochran's formula. The instruments used in this study were the Lifestyle Questionnaire (LSQ), the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ), and the Bradbury-Graves Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire. Depending on the level of data measurement and statistical assumptions, multiple linear regression has been used to test the hypotheses.
Findings: The results of statistical analysis showed that weight control and nutrition factors, disease prevention, spiritual health, social health and environmental health have a significant relationship with general health (P <0.05). The results of data analysis also showed that factors of mental health, social health, drug and drug avoidance and accident prevention have a significant relationship with emotional intelligence (P <0.05).
Conclusion: As a result of this research, it can be said that there is no doubt that lifestyle and lifestyle choices in a family have important effects on students' emotional intelligence, and these effects will remain in the long run.
