Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to construct and validate a
love questionnaire based on the views of Iranian-Islamic scientists.
Materials and Methods: First, a questionnaire with 65 questions
was created by in-depth study and reviewing the documents of the
initial form. At this stage, a 65-item questionnaire based on a
random sample of 40 from the target population, the initial
reliability of the instrument in each area was assessed by
calculating Cronbach's alpha. The remaining 56 questions of the
questionnaire had good internal consistency. Which were lost in 7
factors, the number of questions according to the factors are:
insight 11, perfection 9, motivation 5, intimacy 9, lust 8, selfsacrifice 7 and forgiveness 7 items were compiled.
Findings: Considering that there is no general agreement about the
sample size, but according to many researchers, the minimum
required sample size is 250. Therefore, the final questionnaire in
the statistical sample (281) was administered by random sampling.
Out of the total number of statistical samples, 21 questionnaires
were excluded in the data screening stage and 260 questionnaires
were included in statistical analysis.
In confirmatory factor analysis of love questionnaire domains,
items with a factor load of less than 0.4 in each domain were
removed. So that 3 questions from the factor of insight, 2 questions
from the factor of perfection, 1 question from the factor of
motivation, 1 question from the factor of lust, 1 question from the
factor of self-sacrifice and 1 question from the factor of
forgiveness because the factor load is less than 0.4 should be
removed. To be. In the analysis of classical theory, two questions
from the factor of insight, one question from the factor of
perfection, two questions from the factor of intimacy and one
question from the factor of lust were also omitted. But the
question-and-answer theory analysis did not eliminate any
questions. Finally, the number of items in the love questionnaire
with 7 factors was included in 41 items.
Conclusion: The results showed that the psychometric properties
of the final questionnaire were desirable and had a norm. This
questionnaire can be used to measure love according to the views
of Iranian-Islamic thinkers.
