Abstract
Aims: The issue of dowry as one of the most important issues of financial
relations between couples within the family, which is registered at the time of
marriage and has a financial and legal burden. This is one of the issues related to
the breakdown of the family today, which has taken on a socio-economic aspect
and has also prevented young people from getting married. The aim of this study
was to explain the effects of dowry on family stability. Methods: The statistical
population included all married women over 20 years of age in Kermanshah. To
determine the sample size, the city was divided into 5 regions and were selected
by blocking a sample of 200 families located in each block and alley. Data
analysis was also performed through PLS software. Findings:The results
showed that the effect size of F2 for the variables of dowry, religious
orientation, conflict resolution and education with family stability was calculated
to be 0/09, 0/05, 0/93 and 0/04, respectively, that the relative share of each of the
variables Independent is desirable. The overall effect of education, religious
orientation, conflict resolution and dowry on family stability were determined to
be 0/19, 0/42, 0/67 and 0/13, respectively.
Results :According to the calculated significance level of more than %5 (P =
0/193), the main hypothesis of the research was not confirmed and the amount of
dowry did not affect the stability of the family. The value of SRMR evaluation
of the quality of the research path model was equal to .0.0, which indicates the
appropriate quality of the research path model.
