The Impact of Meta-Emotion on Emotion Regulation with the Mediating Role of Self-Compassion in Teenagers

Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine The Impact of Meta-Emotion on Emotion Regulation with the Mediating Role of Self-Compassion in Teenagers.
Methodology: The research method is cross-sectional correlational. The statistical population of this study consisted of all high school students in Tehran, Tehran in 2019, of which 420 people were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. The research tools were: Meta-Emotion (Mitmansgrabar et al) Questionnaire, Self-Compassion (Neff) Questionnaire and Emotional Regulation (Garnefsky and Craig, 2006).  In order to analyze and analyze the data, SPSS-V23 and Lisrel-V8.8 software were used and the data were analyzed using structural equation analysis method. The results showed that the model fits the data of this study.
Findings: The results also showed that Meta-Emotion has a positive and significant effect on emotion regulation and Self-Compassion adolescent. Emotion regulation has a positive effect on Self-Compassion adolescent.
Conclusion: The Meta-Emotion has a positive and significant effect on regulation of adolescent emotions through Self-Compassion mediation
