Abstract
Purpose: in this study; The researchers intend to investigate the
causes and roots of organizational indifference using the qualitative
approach of theme analysis, and then present the model of
organizational indifference in Payam Noor University by using the
quantitative approach of structural interpretive modeling.
Materials and methods: Research method, mixed and statistical
population in quantitative and qualitative part; The experts,
professors and managers of the university were selected using a nonrandom, purposeful (judgmental) sampling method using the
principle of saturation of 25 people. Data collection was done
through literature review in the field of indifference, semi-structured
interviews and structured self-interaction matrix questionnaire;
whose validity and reliability were measured and confirmed. data
analysis method; Theoretical coding was done by using theme
analysis and by using interpretive structural modeling method and
MICMAC technique .
Findings: The results of theme analysis led to the extraction of 220
open codes, 26 basic themes and 6 organizing themes of
indifference, under the headings; "Management factors",
"motivational factors", "structural factors", "extra-organizational
factors", "cultural factors" and "personal factors" resulted. Then,
with the application of interpretative structural modeling, these
factors were classified into four categories and by considering the
final accessibility matrix, the final model of organizational
indifference of human resources was drawn .
Conclusion: Cultural, structural and extra-organizational factors act
as the foundation stone of the indifference model and indifference
starts from these variables and spreads to other variables. Also,
