Abstract
Chronic back pain is one of the most common problems in the
health field, and finding a suitable treatment plan for the faster
recovery of its patients has always been considered. The aim
of the present study was to investigate the effect of central
muscle stability exercises on the improvement of non-specific
chronic back pain. The research was a semi-experimental type
with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group, and for
its implementation, 30 people with non-specific chronic back
pain were randomly assigned to two experimental and control
groups, 15 people each. The experimental group underwent
central muscle stability program exercises for 10 sessions. The
results showed that the pain of the treated group decreased
significantly in the post-test phase (P<0.05). From the findings
of this research, it can be concluded that muscle stability
exercises have a great effect in reducing the pain of patients
with chronic back pain. Therefore, it is suggested to consider
these exercises in the treatment plan of patients with chronic
back pain.
