Abstract
Purpose: One of the most important factors that can affect the
quality of learning, self-regulation learning strategies play an
important role in the quality of learning. The present study was
carried out with the aim of predicting math performance based on
self-regulation strategies in first secondary students of Saveh city.
Materials and Methods: The self-report forms (student), parent,
and teacher of self-regulated learning strategies questionnaire
(SRSI) named SRSI-SR, SRSI-PRS, and SRSI-TRS were
implemented in the first secondary level students of Saveh city. For
this purpose, after translating and preparing the mentioned
questionnaires, SRSI-SR and SRSI-PRS questionnaires were sent to
1480 students and their parents via email. After one month passed
and reminder emails were sent, 785 SRSI-SR questionnaires, 753
SRSI-PRS questionnaires and 197 SRSI-TRS questionnaires were
returned. After removing incomplete questionnaires, the number of
SRSI-SR and SRSI-PRS questionnaires was reduced to 610
questionnaires and entered into the analysis.
Findings: The questionnaires completed by the teachers had no
defects and all 197 questionnaires were included in the analysis.
Conclusion: The results showed that all three self-administered,
parent, and teacher questionnaires had strong predictive and
explanatory power in relation to students' math performance.
