Purpose: One of the phenomena that disrupts the relationship of couples
in their joint life is the tendency to divorce involved in breach of contract
that has an individual and personality origin. The communication pattern
of couples with each other plays a vital role in this context. When the
couple's relationship tends to be cold, it causes them heartbreak, marital
heartbreak provides the ground for the tendency to divorce involved in
breach of contract. Whereas, if the couple is committed to their marriage
contract, they will not witness heartbreak. On the other hand, the tendency
towards moral styles has a constructive effect on couples' relationships. In
this research, moral tendency styles are considered as mediating variables,
and the variables of heartbreak and marital commitment are the outputs,
which predict the criterion variable of the tendency to divorce involved in
breach of contract.
Materials and Methods: This research was done by correlation method.
The statistical population was formed by couples who referred to the
counseling centers of the first and second regions of Tehran in 1400. The
sample size was determined based on the modeling method of 250 people
who were selected by random quota method. The data collection tools were
Kaiser's marital distress scale (1993), Adams and Jones' marital
commitment (1997), Hight and Gramm's (2007) moral orientation styles,
Rose Bolt et al.'s (1986) propensity to divorce scale. In the data analysis
method, descriptive statistics indicators and SPSS23 software were first
used, then structural equations, t-test, bootstrap and Sobel were used in the
hypothesis test, which were implemented by PLS software.
Findings: The results showed that successful intelligence has a direct
effect on wisdom, The findings of the research indicated that there is a
direct and meaningful relationship between the tendency to divorce
involved in breach of contract and marital heartbreak, but it had an inverse
relationship with marital commitment. In addition, the tendency to divorce
involved in breach of contract has an inverse relationship with the styles of
moral tendency and has led to its adjustment.
Conclusion: Therefore, heartbreak and marital commitment have been the
predictors of divorce tendency of couples involved in breach of contract.
