Optimal Model of Motivation of Faculty Members of Islamic Azad University

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to design an optimal
model of motivation for faculty members of Islamic Azad
University.
Materials and Methods: In terms of purpose, this research is
an applied study that has been done in a combined method and
with an exploratory strategy. The qualitative part of this
research has been done by content analysis method and the
quantitative part has been done by descriptive-survey method.
The statistical population included all faculty members of
Tehran Azad Universities and the sample size through
Cochran's formula is 227 people, of which 217 questionnaires
were successfully collected. The research tool was a
questionnaire. To determine the validity of the results, the
following indices of data consensus, researchers' consensus,
method consensus and member control were used. The firstorder confirmatory factor analysis was used to identify the
main factors, the second-order confirmatory factor analysis
was used to test the final model, and the Friedman ranking test
was used to prioritize the components. Smart-PLS software
was used to model the structural equations and SPSS software
was used to prioritize the data.
Findings: According to the findings, the desired model of
motivation of faculty members of Islamic Azad University
was designed and among the factors affecting the motivation
of faculty members of Islamic Azad University of Tehran,
support and policies and legal frameworks in the highest rank
and safety And occupational health had the lowest rank.
Conclusion: Regarding faculty motivation strategies, the
highest rank was related to the improvement of legal
frameworks and infrastructures and the appropriate salaries
and benefits of faculty members and the lowest rank was
allocated to the improvement of safety and working
environment conditions. In terms of outcomes, the highest
rank was related to the outcomes at the university and
community level and then at the individual level.
