Abstract
Purpose: Machiavelli's thoughts based on realism and realism, liberalism and the emerging and updated thoughts after that and Marxism have attracted many theorists in the field of international relations and political science, as well as supporters of this field; Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of investigating the course of liberal democracy thought in international relations after the collapse of communism. Materials and methods: The information required for this research has been collected by library method. Then, this information was analyzed using analytical-descriptive research method and data collection was done based on library and documentary studies. Findings: The results show that some of these arguments are liberal in nature, while another is realistic in nature. Conclusion: But what cannot be hidden is the fact that we are experiencing a different world and many of the theories governing international relations, which have been the basis of evaluating actors and their behavior, are no longer valid in their traditional form.
