Abstract
Purpose: The present research was conducted with the aim of predicting love styles based on perceived parenting styles in 2020.
Materials and Methods: The statistical population of this research included all married people in Tehran, the number of sample members is 150 people, who were selected by two-stage random sampling in the first stage and non-random in the second stage. The main data of this research was obtained by using Hendrick and Hendrick's (1986) love attitude scale questionnaires and Buri's (1991) perceived parenting style. In data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multivariate regression were used using SPSS-23 software.
Findings: The results of the research, through correlation and regression tests, indicated that the permissive parenting style does not predict any of the love styles. On the other hand, authoritarian parenting style predicts sensual love in a negative way and romantic and friendly love styles in a positive and meaningful way, and autocratic parenting style predicts romantic and selfless love styles in a negative way and actress love in a positive and meaningful way.
Conclusion: Therefore, by teaching this type of parenting style to parents, it is possible to help them to love in the future of their children.
