Predicting Mental Health based on Feelings of Loneliness and Perceived Social Support with a Mediating Role of Spirituality in Infertile Women

Abstract
Purpose:Infertility is a complex life crisis that can impose countless psychological consequences and problems on couples, especially infertile women. The aim of this study was to predict psychological well-being based on the feeling of loneliness and perceived social support with the mediating role of spirituality in infertile women.
Materials and Methods: The present study was an applied study in terms of correlational collection method. The statistical population included all infertile women referred to Qom University Jihad Infertility Center in 1399. 357 people were selected using simple random sampling method. Participants completed the Reef Standard Psychological Well-Being Questionnaire, Feeling Lonely, and Perceived Social Support. In order to analyze the research data, SPSS and PLS software were used to perform the structural equation method.
Findings: Data analysis showed that there is a significant inverse relationship between feelings of loneliness and psychological well-being (R = -0.614), there is a positive and significant relationship between perceived social support and psychological well-being (R = 0.597), spirituality It mediates the relationship between feelings of loneliness and perceived social support with psychological well-being.
Conclusion: According to the results, reducing the feeling of loneliness and increasing the perceived social support of infertile women on the one hand and increasing their spirituality on the other hand can increase their psychological well-being.
