Evaluation of Psychopathy Classification Criteria based on Psychology and Islamic Jurisprudence

Abstract
Throughout history, both Psychologists and jurists have been emphasized on precise classification of psychopathy; however, recent findings in psychology asserted that the multiplicity of common symptoms in psychopathy makes marginalization impossible, so citing custom is necessary. Accordingly, modern jurists are in believe that all kinds of psychopathy are center around dementia and insanity. According to the lack of mention of dementia by psychologists, this research has investigated both psychopathy (except insanity) based on the Comprehensive method and the aforementioned issue of dementia from jurists’ viewpoint. At this research, we’ve tried to answer the question of what is the range of the variable criteria for custom in order to classify psychopathy? According to the results, it seems that a simple behavior could be recognized as abnormal behavior in a society by the custom while the same behavior could be interpreted in a different way, a normal behavior, in another society. Although in some cases, there are some exceptions like Memory impairment which the custom of the communities was unanimous, and followingly, it cites scientific achievements to identify these disorders
