Abstract
In recent years, the topic of marital conflicts and emotion regulation 
in marital relationships has found a significant place among the 
works that have been published in the field of marriage. The purpose 
of this research is the effectiveness of couple therapy based on 
acceptance and commitment on conflict. Marriage and emotion 
regulation in married women with marital boredom. It was a semiexperimental study with a pre-test and post-test design, with a 
control group and a three-month follow-up period. The statistical 
population included all married women with marital distress who 
referred to counseling centers in Rasht city in 1400, who were 
selected by the available sampling method, 60 people and assigned 
in three equal groups of 20 people. In addition to the demographic 
information checklist, data collection was done with the Marital 
Boredom Questionnaire, the Marital Conflict Questionnaire, and the 
Emotion Regulation Questionnaire. For the subjects of the 
experimental groups (Couple therapy intervention program based on 
acceptance and commitment) 12 sessions, one 1-hour session per 
week. In addition to descriptive statistics, data analysis was 
performed with repeated measures analysis of variance. The results 
showed that in the post-test stage, there is a significant difference 
between the total score of emotion regulation and its dimensions in 
the two groups (P<0.05). Also, the results showed that in the posttest stage, there is a significant difference between the marital 
conflict score and its dimensions in the participants in the couple 
therapy intervention program based on acceptance and commitment 
and the control subjects (P<0.05). This difference was also 
maintained in the follow-up phase (P<0.05).
