Abstract
Purpose: The present research was conducted with the aim of
investigating the factors affecting the internationalization of
higher education in Iran, with an emphasis on the language of
science education in the university.
Materials and Methods: Therefore, the fitting of the model
derived from the grand theory method was done using a
quantitative method and a survey.
Findings: In this model, 12 main factors were discovered in
the following order: identification and the main phenomenon
of the model, the pluralism of the language of science
education is a way for rise and promotion: the causal factors
of the model include the need for promotion and educational
and research productivity, the need for economic productivity,
the need To promote scientific interactions, and the need to
promote cultural interactions. The contextual factors of the
model to the two big challenges of international escapism and
language education; And international antagonism and
cultural fear are divided. Intervening factors are also in the two
areas of policies and laws; and the social and cultural sphere
are related. Effective strategies for pluralizing the language of
science education in Iran, two strategies at the level of the
government and policymakers; And the university level
strategy and social factors were discovered. The consequences
of multiple languages in science education are divided into two
parts: positive and negative consequences, and the positive
consequences are divided into two parts: social, economic, and
scientific growth; And the divided cultural growth and the
negative consequences of those possible scientific and cultural
damages were found. At the end, the model derived from
grounded theory was implemented with a researcher-made
questionnaire in two selected comprehensive universities.
Conclusion: In the quantitative analysis, the fit of the model
was confirmed by the method of exploratory and confirmatory
factor analysis and then the structural equations resulting from
the answers of 306 faculty members to the researcher-made
questionnaire
