Abstract
Waqf as a good tradition and human benevolent action is one of the most important and important social issues that has a prominent position in all societies and religions, especially Islam, and is based on the principle of cooperation and altruism of human beings and the main goal. It is the provision of public necessities, the assistance of social services, the creation of public welfare and security, and the spread of moral virtues. But to the extent that Iranian society has taken a step in the era of modernization, the amount and volume of endowments and especially the income from it has decreased. This article, which has been written with a descriptive, analytical method and with the aim of analyzing the reasons for endowment failure in Iran, answers the basic question that the main reasons for endowment failure in Iran, in the field of productivity and development, include What has happened.
