A Comparative Study of Freedom and Education from the Perspective of Shahid Motahhari and Sartre

Abstract
Purpose:The purpose of this study is to study and compare 
freedom and education from the perspective of Shahid 
Motahari as one of the most important Islamic philosophers of 
the present age and Sartre as a representative of existentialism.
Materials and Methods: The method of this research is 
library in terms of theoretical purpose and library and 
documentary in terms of data collection.
Findings: The research findings show that according to 
Shahid Motahari, which is derived from the Islamic point of 
view, serving God is the same as freedom. The spirit of selfconfidence is among the learners and these principles are in 
harmony with human nature and have used the methods of 
reason, reverence, worship, etc.
Conclusion: Therefore, from Sartre's point of view, man is 
obliged to be free and independent, and the educational goals 
derived from this view of relativism in education are active 
learning, free thinking and fostering creativity, and his most 
important educational principles are freedom, responsibility, 
creativity and relativity. It has used conversational training 
methods and an open classroom.
