Abstract
Purpose: This research was carried out with the aim of
analyzing the main elements and implementation
challenges of the think-aloud protocol.
Materials and Methods: This research is a qualitative
type of research that was done with the library method.
The statistical population of this research is all the
scientific articles related to the think-aloud protocol that
are indexed in the databases. The research tool is also a
checklist.
Findings: The two basic things that are required in loud
protocol research are training and reminder. Also, among
the challenges in this method are the real management of
thinking aloud protocol, increasing the duration of the
method compared to other methods, the possibility of
distorting the reports provided by the participant, the need
to interpret the processes before learning more than The
limit occurred, retelling whatever came to mind even if it
was irrelevant, noted the reactivity and realism of the
think-aloud protocols.
Conclusion: By using good performance practices in the
aloud thinking process, people who use aloud thinking
protocols have better strategies for solving current
problems and can also gain more content knowledge
while doing so. This method may be very helpful in
special training and intervention, such as teaching math
problem-solving skills or teaching a second language,
considering how to support participants.
