Abstract
Purpose: Social health is one of the issues that are effective in the growth and development of the family and society, so it is necessary and necessary to investigate the effective factors in social health, so the purpose of the present study was to investigate the role of religious orientation in predicting social health through the mediation of emotion regulation. Materials and Methods: The descriptive research method was structural equations type. The research population included all the female primary school teachers in two Shahr districts of Baharstan in the academic year of 2021-2022. A number of 160 eligible people were selected by convenience sampling and answered the religious orientation questionnaire of Allport and Ras (1967), emotion regulation by Gross and John (2003) and social health by Keyes and Shapiro (2004). To analyze the data, Pearson's correlation coefficient test and path analysis were used with SPSS version 24 and Amos software. Findings: The results showed that the correlation coefficient between external religious orientation with reappraisal and social health was negative, but the correlation between internal religious orientation with reappraisal and social health was positive. The correlation coefficient between external religious orientation and repression was positive, but the correlation between internal religious orientation and repression was negative (P<0.01). Conclusion: According to the findings, it can be concluded that paying attention to religious orientation and trying to teach emotion regulation will play an important role in social health.
