Explaining the Role of Gender Inequality in Family Stability (case Study of Bandar Abbas Women)

Abstract
Purpose: The present research was conducted with the purpose of explaining the relationship between the type of gender inequality institutionalized in a person and the type of divorce.
Materials and methods: In this research, data were collected from 178 divorced women and 222 non-divorced women with emotional divorce in Bandar Abbas, using a survey method. Therefore, stratified random sampling proportional to the volume and simple random sampling was used for non-divorced women and chain sampling for divorced women. Questionnaire data was collected by interview and face validity was confirmed through literature review and expert judgment and structural validity with Cronbach's alpha.
Findings: The findings showed that 40.5 percent of women have high emotional divorce and 59.5 percent of them have moderate emotional divorce; The results of descriptive statistics indicate that 33% of divorced women have a traditional view and 56% of them have a modern view of gender inequality in society. Also, 67% of women with emotional divorce have a traditional view of gender inequality in society, and 44% of them have a modern view. Also, the results obtained from the chi-square test showed that there is a significant relationship between the type of women's perspective on gender inequality (21.419) and the type of divorce, with 0.99 percent confidence and at an error level smaller than 0.01, and the intensity of the relationship They are 0.231.
Conclusion: According to the results of the Yeoman-Whitney test, people with emotional divorce have a more traditional view than women with legal divorce. This research suggests that in order to increase the stability of the family, gender justice should be institutionalized in all areas of the society so that the society can make the best use of the capacity of social forces.
