The Effectiveness of Health-Oriented Education on The Spiritual Health and Performance of Women in The Islamic-Iranian Family

Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this study was the effectiveness of health-oriented education on spiritual health and performance of women in the Islamic-Iranian family.
Materials and Methods: The research method is quasi-experimental and applied with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population in this study includes all married women who refer to Tehran Municipality health houses in spring. By multi-stage cluster sampling from Tehran Municipality, District 21, three health houses were selected from the three areas and 40 people from each health house were selected as the sample. After enrollment on all subjects, the pre-test was performed using two questionnaires of family functioning and spiritual health. Subjects were then divided into experimental and control groups and 10 sessions of health training were given to the experimental group. Data collection tools were Bloom Family Activity Questionnaire (1985) and Pulotzin and Ellison (1982) Spiritual Health Questionnaire. Data analysis method was performed using tables describing frequency, variance, standard deviation and in the inferential section, multivariate analysis of covariance was used.
Conclusion: Finally, it is concluded that health-oriented education is effective on family performance, spiritual health, religious health and existential health of women in Iranian Islamic families and these variables have created a significant difference between groups.
