Purpose: This research was conducted with the aim of designing and compiling a questionnaire in order to measure the security defense component of the Islamic lifestyle. Considering the Islamic religion's focus on security, this questionnaire was designed based on the verses of the Holy Quran and under the title of Islamic lifestyle.
Materials and methods: The current research was conducted in two phases, qualitative and quantitative. In the qualitative phase, the verses related to defense and security were extracted and their classification was done under related concepts. Also, the items to be included in the questionnaire were formulated in this stage. In the quantitative stage, the extracted items were evaluated and analyzed at the pilot level with a limited sample.
Findings: The logical and content validity of the questionnaire was checked and confirmed by the evaluation of experts' opinions. Also, the reliability of the questionnaire using Cronbach's alpha method was equal to 0.71, which indicates a good internal consistency of the questionnaire.
Conclusion: The design of this questionnaire as one of the initial measures in entering the important issue of defense and security can determine criteria as a model and adaptation, which is derived from the source of education and knowledge (Qur'an).
