Examining the Relationship Between Islamic Lifestyle and Normal Lifestyle with the Psychological Health of Students of Kerman City

Abstract
Introduction: Students’ lifestyle affects different aspects of their lives, including mental health. Islamic lifestyle and increase in mental health led to progress and growth of students. The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between Islamic lifestyle and normal lifestyle with psychological health of students in Kerman city.
Materials and methods: This descriptive research was correlation type. The statistical population of this research was all second-grade high school students in Kerman city, 480 of them were selected as a sample by multi-stage cluster random sampling method. In order to collect data, Kaviani’s Islamic lifestyle questionnaires (2008), Miller and Smith’s normal lifestyle (2002) and Goldberg and Hiller’s (1979) psychological health questionnaires were used. Data analysis was done by Pearson’s correlation coefficient and regression with SPSS version 24 software.
Results: The results of the findings showed that the Islamic lifestyle is more related to the psychological health of students than the normal lifestyle.
Conclusion: According to the results of the research, it can be said that it is recommended to pay attention to the Islamic lifestyle in order to reduce the psychological problems of students.
