Health Organization, it seems that by 2025, coronary heart
disease will not only be the main cause of human death and
disability, but in the long run, with its debilitating nature, It
creates some limitations in a person's life. The purpose of this
study was to investigate the effectiveness of Beshiari-based
stress reduction program on depression, ataxia, and blood
pressure in cardiovascular patients.
Materials and Methods: The current study was a quasiexperimental type with a pre-test-post-test design with a
control group with baseline measurements after the
intervention and 3-month follow-up. The statistical population
included all cardiovascular patients referred to Imam Reza
(AS) hospital in Amol city between September and December
of 2018. 24 patients were selected as a sample based on
purpose-based sampling and randomly assigned to two

research were the researcher's demographic questionnaire
(2018), Beck's depression questionnaire (1990) and the stress
reduction program protocol based on commitment and
commitment (Kabat Zain, 2012). Data analysis was done using
analysis of variance with repeated measures.
Findings: Beshiari-based stress reduction program had a
significant effect on reducing depression, alexithymia and
blood pressure (p<0.001).
Conclusion: Patients who participated in Beshiari-based stress
reduction program sessions, their depression, ataxia, and blood
pressure decreased.
