Abstract
In the case of nurses, some of the personality traits that can have a direct or indirect relationship with their job performance and mental health are: job commitment, empathy, communication skills, stress tolerance and management, self-confidence and decision-making. It is a type of correlation. The statistical population of the research was all nurses. In this research, 221 doctors were selected as a sample by simple random sampling method. In this research, neo personality questionnaires and occupational performance and mental health questionnaires were used. In the explanation of this project, Pearson correlation test was used, the results of descriptive statistics were shown by SPSS, and the main hypothesis in this project was that personality characteristics as a variable can predict the performance of nurses. Step-by-step multivariate regression was used to determine the predictive power of the components of personality characteristics on nurses' job performance. In this research, the hypothesis that there is a positive relationship between personality traits and job performance and mental health of nurses is confirmed. The research hypothesis was formulated in order to understand the relationship between personality traits and nurses' job performance and mental health: "The level of personality traits has a relationship (positive correlation) with nurses' job performance and mental health".
