The Effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an Islamic approach in the Happiness and Social Health of Infertile Women

Abstract
Purpose: happiness and social health play an important and fundamental role in improving the life of infertile women, therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy with an Islamic approach in the happiness and social health of infertile women.
Materials and Methods: The current research was an experimental type with a control group with pre-test and post-test. The research population included all the infertile women who referred for infertility treatment to the Amin Infertility Medical Center and Clinic in Tehran in the first three months of 2022, of which 30 qualified volunteers were selected based on the entry criteria using the available sampling method and were selected randomly in two groups 15 People (experiment and witness) were replaced. Data collection tools included the happiness scale of Argyle and Crosland (1987) and Keyes' social health (2004). Cognitive behavioral therapy with an Islamic approach was implemented in 10 sessions of 90 minutes for the experimental group, but the control group did not receive any intervention. To analyze the data, univariate analysis of covariance was used with SPSS version 21 software.
Results: The results showed that the infertile women of the experimental group were significantly happier than the infertile women of the control group in the post-test (p < 0.01).
Conclusion: The results indicated the effectiveness of Islamic cognitive behavioral therapy in improving the happiness and social health of infertile women, so Islamic cognitive behavioral therapy can be used along with other medical treatment methods to improve the life of infertile women.
